The Global Insights Group is responsible for the development and evolution of insights within The Futures Company. The fielding of quantitative research is an integral part of understanding consumers in the development of those insights. The Field Manager will be responsible for working with the Global Insights Group to manage both syndicated and custom quantitative research studies in support of The Futures Company projects. This position reports into the Assistant Research Director.
Key Objective:
To manage quantitative surveys through the fielding process in coordination with an overall project manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage quantitative research surveys through the fielding process.
Provide input on questionnaire design in meeting project objectives.
Manage field vendor to meet all deadlines.
Procure and evaluate pricing quotes from field vendors.
Manage the field vendor to meet quota targets.
Ensure accuracy of survey programs.
Provide assistance in data integrity activities across all research studies.
Develop tabulation plans for the reporting of project data.
Coordinate with finance department to assign and track all project related expenses.
Ensure that project expenses stay within budget.
Skills and Knowledge :
Very strong attention to detail required.
Ability to independently manage research projects and meet deadlines.
Capable of working effectively in a team environment.
Understanding of various quantitative methodologies (web, phone, mall intercept)
Familiarity with interpreting field reports and cross-tabulated data tables.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree.
1-2 years of experience managing quantitative research studies.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Knowledge of SPSS (preferred).
Senior Account Director (NC) Position Responsibilities
Responsible for efficient, profitable client services team operations, including team member satisfaction and loyalty
Developing relationships at CxO, VP, and Director levels within the client organization to support growing the business
Managing a dedicated team of 2-3 analysts and account managers
Cultivates foundation client relationships as demonstrated by revenue and margin growth, breadth of relationships, and client satisfaction
Applies expertise in research design, management analysis and reporting
Hires and mentors staff. Ensures appropriate levels of training and career development
Determines appropriate work flow allocation across team members
Manages team budget, including billable hours

Qualifications
Education and Experience
MBA in Marketing from a top Business School is preferred
PhD degree in Marketing or related discipline preferred
The successful candidate we seek will have 10+ years work experience with at least two years in a management role. He/she has ideally worked in the Marketing industry, in management consulting and/or research roles, and has earned an M.B.A. This person works well in an entrepreneurial environment with other highly driven colleagues and possesses a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to working with data.
Experience in supplier and client environments preferred
Senior Associate Marketing Researcher (NC or NY)
Responsibilities for this position include:
Serving as primary contact for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries
Analyzing quantitative consumer research in concert with marketplace insights to develop compelling custom reports of findings for clients, with an emphasis on translating consumer trends into actionable insights and marketing implications
Delivering exceptional thinking and service on every project to create significant impact on the client’s business
Managing multiple, simultaneous projects working with senior consultants
Interfacing with key clients on a regular basis to support ongoing client consulting needs (data requests, points-of-view, trend analyses) and to strengthen and deepen The Futures Company’s relationship with those clients, including facilitating new business opportunities with clients
Requirements:
3-5 years experience in consumer marketing research, with an emphasis on gathering and understanding consumer insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with an ability and desire to present compelling insights in spoken, written or visual form to a variety of audiences
Familiarity with major information sources (e.g. United States Census, Pew Research Center) and proficiency in secondary consumer research. Experience analyzing and synthesizing quantitative research into a cohesive storyline
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented
Passion for research, endless curiosity about human behavior, tireless advocacy for the consumer, and strong desire to exceed client expectations

Experience in one major analysis such as S.E.M., forecasting, Bayesian modeling or choice modeling.

Database modeling skills are a plus.

Associate/Research Associate
The Associate/Research Associate is a team member who supports The Futures Company trends and futures senior consultants in all aspects of client service and consulting projects
Key Objective:
Analyzing The Futures Company’s syndicated consumer attitudinal studies as well as secondary sources to assist in solving client business issues
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Cross-tabulating data for client reports and data checking
Analyzing quantitative syndicated survey data for report development
Developing draft reports in collaboration with senior consultants
Providing proposal support to Sales staff
Providing assistance to clients using The Futures Company online client portal
Gathering and organizing marketplace examples of consumer trends, as identified in The Futures Company trends analyses
Interacting directly with client contacts to resolve questions and to uncover new consulting opportunities
Playing a leading role in the creation of bi-weekly syndicated newsletters sent to all clients
Assisting colleagues on cross functional teams (custom research, qualitative research) as needed when resource issues arise
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills – a writing sample/analysis is required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Familiarity with reading basic cross-tabulated data
Familiarity with basic marketing concepts
