For marketers, getting in step with Millennials is the key to their brands' future growth path. At 64 million, this generation of 16- to 30-year-olds is 12% bigger than Generation X. And they're in the right place at the right time.
Baby Boomers were the driving demographic force during the boom decades of the last 30 years. Boomers took the economy higher during the good years and lifted it higher during the difficult years. But life stage, timeline, pending retirement, wealth rebuilding, and, to some extent, material satiation are diminishing the impact that Boomers can make in leading us out of the current recession.
